Celebrating 50 years of IN2P3 : 1971-2021
To mark its 50-year milestone, IN2P3 unveiled a new website that serves as a repository for various resources, such as a historical overview of the institute and its labs, along with a collection of 35 exhibition posters. Additionally, several events were held in laboratories, including a half-day international scientific symposium closing as a session.

“I’m a scientist – Get me out of here”
“I’m a scientist – Get me out of here” is an outreach competition. It takes the form of an online, student-led international STEM program that connects school students with scientists through text-based chats. Each week, students vote for their favorite scientist, and the winner receives funding for a science communication project.

The sketchbook and Collider – Reality is not what it seems : Drawing links between fine art and particle physics
The project started in 2015 with a goal to “make the invisible, visible” by exploring equivalence between visual elements of drawing and the interaction of elementary particles. The project is organized as a series of workshops that result in exhibitions and events. Exhibitions also feature educational activities and collaborative efforts to enhance the participants experience.

Women and Girls in Science and Technology
In celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, local schools hosted one-hour presentations by women working in STEM fields over the course of a week. This event is held in the canton of Geneva, the district of Nyon, and the departments of Ain and Haute-Savoie.

Looking for new interactions with dark matter in Patagonia (an ice cream story)
María Belén Lovino engage in multiple projects in science communication, especially dark matter, through Card Games, Ice Cream, Comic Puzzle or Fashion (clothing). Her projects explore new ways to inject science, usually through a co-production with researchers and expert outside of the scientific field, like designers or artisans.

Hunting the Higgs by Bad Boy of Science
Hunting the Higgs is a science show created by the Science communicator and comedian Sam Gregson. He wanted to create a gamified 1hr version of a particle physics masterclass, mixing guided and comedic lectures with interactive activities through all the steps of the scientific method, guiding the audience until they discover the Higgs for themselves.
