Abstract
“I’m a scientist – Get me out of here” is an outreach competition. It takes the form of an online, student-led international STEM program that connects school students with scientists through text-based chats. Teachers book a 30-minute private chat session for their class; students can also ask questions of the scientists anytime on the website.
Each week, students vote for their favorite scientist, and the winner receives funding for a science communication project.
