Communication and Outreach at the CERN Schools of Physics

Abstract

Since 2014 specific outreach/media trainings were introduced in the programme of the European Schools, with two 90-minute teaching slots with Chris Jameson and Tony Prideaux from the company “Inside Edge”. In addition, all students are involved in a group project to prepare a short presentation about a physics topic at a level suitable for the general public with a jury that gives feedback and awards a token “prize” for the best group effort.
