Discover the Universe with Romania@CERN (DUROCERN)
The Institute of Atomic Physics hosts DUROCERN, an Educational and Outreach Centre, on its 2nd floor. It showcases the main facilities of CERN through interactive exhibitions and workshops. It also presents the main contributions made by Romanian teams to CERN experiments.

Remote Masterclasses in Poland
Masterclass participation is limited by room capacity and travel costs. Remote masterclasses expand geographical reach and make it easier to ask questions. However, it lacks in person interactions and showed a decreased “efficiency” in measurements. Nevertheless, it remains a valuable opportunity to connect with students interested in physics who can’t attend regular Masterclasse.

“Become a particle physicist in eight simple moves” book
The book was born out of a simple but strong wish: to inspire people to consider pursuing a career in physics. It aims to be an introduction to the world of particle physics while skillfully blending humor with profound insights.

Outreach in Congo RDC and South Africa
Inspiring gap year project in Congo and South Africa. There are multiple opportunities for impactful outreach activities through “village of science”, talks, virtual visits, and screenings of the Particle Fever movie.

Outreach activities in an art centre – The Quàntica Exhibition at CCCB (Barcelona)
The QUANTIC art-science exhibition was held in February 2019 at the Contemporary Culture Centre of Barcelona (CCCB). The Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (IFAE) collaborated with the development of the exhibition and the satellite activities that were offered.

Presentation of the Greek outreach activity 2019
Grece participate in many outreach events like IMC or the Researchers’ Night events. The community is also involved in and Universe for all (a 3 weeks workshop for teachers) and the Frontiers and Reinforce projects.

Fermilab & QuarkNet : Serving and expanding audiences during COVID
During the COVID pandemic, Fermilab and QuarkNet websites served as hubs for different audiences, offering activities, virtual resources and guidance for parents and teachers. The structures also held online outreach events and developed social media strategies to foster engagement.

IMC initiatives : learning-at-home during COVID
In response to many IMC cancellations due to COVID-19, virtual masterclasses were developed. Various online tools can effectively support remote learning at home : Zoom is highly effective for live lectures, webinars, and group work, and resources can be adapted with online tally sheets, Kahoot quizzes…
